Thinking about getting XBOX.. what games are good?

Hi.. been holding back on XBOX for awhile... have Cube and PS2..but the new XBOX Halo edition look cool for me to pull the trigger.... beside than
- Halo
- Panzer dragon
- Ninja Gaiden...

Is ther other 'exclusive' xbox game out there that's worth getting? As I said, i already have PS2... so if i decide to buy an XBOX it would mainly be for certain exclusive only...

oh and how 'easy' to mod the XBOX like put new HD in and do all sort of cool thing, i browse over ths xbox scene but i'm a real novice at Modding... would this be too hard? thanx for any advice...

Splinter Cell (looks best on xbox)
Amped 2
Soul Calibur 2 (spawn)
Project Gotham 2
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Jet Set Radio Future

Modding requires intermediate skills. Basic FTP knowledge, comfortable with opening the case, no soldering is needed (chips are plug and play). Just follow the tutorials at xbox-scene.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Crimson Skies are both excellent titles as well.

there seem to be 'many' type of modchip at xbox-scene..which one are the most popular and the most recommeneded? plug-n-play sound cool... and if I do mod the box, how can I 'burn' all my game/file into the HD? thanx again.. sorry for asking too many question..

I'd second that... KOTOR and Crimson Skies are excellent choices.

By the way, if you are thinking about checking out XBL, might not want to mod it... or at the very least do your research first.

I suggest you rent Ninja Gaiden before you buy it. The camera angle is driving me nuts on this one.

gameover, try google for any questions about burning, we don't discuss those type of questions here, thanks.

 The reason I bought my X-box. Such a fun game that actually makes good use of its license.

My best bets:
Splinter Cell 2
Prince of Persia
Knights of the Old Republic (On sale for $24.88 this week at Target)
Crimson Skies ($19.99 today at Fry's)
Ghost Recon : Island Thunder (for multi-player co-op only)

Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic. It's the reason I bought an X-box, and still the only exclusive game that's made me glad I bought.

Halo is very good, if you're an FPS fan. Even if not, like myself, you'll probably still get some enjoyment out of it.

PGR2 and Crimson Skies are pretty hyped, and on my list to check out.

If you're a sports fan, this the system to have, the games usually look the best, and with HD you don't have to worry about running out of space saving dynasties and franchise modes.

Over the last 2 months I've finished the following games on my Xbox:

1) Prince of Persia
2) Beyond Good & Evil
3) Splinter Cell
4) Breakdown

All were good games, but the one I was most impressed w/ was Breakdown. It's not everybody's cup of tea (reviews are mixed) but I became totally immersed in that game and couldn't stop playing. It gets maddeningly difficult near the end, but I surprised myself by beating it eventually. One of the best video game stories I've ever witnessed. It's also exclusive to the Xbox. I'd recommend renting before buying it though.

Rainbow Six 3. Great game both LIVE and offline!

It's a shame the only Xbox exclusive games I own are Halo and Tony Hawk 2x. The GTA double is worth owning for it's use of the HD custom soundtracks and ESPN NBA Basketball is the best basketball game I've ever played. Armed & Dangerous and Otogi are worth a rental.

well, i've been playing Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy... and it's like Beyond Good and Evil. well, i guess all platformers are pretty much the same.

for $15, it's worth it. except for the lack of voice overs (which give it an eerie silence, i think it is actually better than Beyond Good and Evil (which i found way too short).

Kill Switch is much better on XBOX than the PS2 version. Ditto for Splinter Cell.

Unless you don't like the XBox controller or strongly prefer the Dual Shock, I think you'll find that when a game is released on more than one platform (and there are a lot of them), you'll probably want the XBox version. Not only is there the hard drive to save games to, but also the XBox versions tend to look a little nicer and generally have less slowdown than the PS2 versions. If you have the equipment for it, the Dolby Digital 5.1 sound and 480p video (and in some cases higher resolutions) will also help make the XBox versions the ones to get.

Knights of the Old Republic and Panzer Dragoon Orta are awesome games. Prince of Persia looks really good on the XBox as well.

I have been having a lot of fun with Phantasy Star Online.
