I'm not an insider. There is a free link to the WMV version of the trailer in the video section of IGN's RE4 page. Try this link:

awesome. cave trolls though? I like the variety of weapons, and it looks like they busted the game out of the old mold. I hope it doesn't feel so stiff anymore...

I'm not a fan of the other RE's because of the control scheme, but damn that game does look good. I might have to give this one a try.

I couldn't see the video very well here at work considering how dark most of it was and the glare i get here....
but it looks like they took care of the prerendered scenes and static cameras.
The camera was moving around a bunch in the video.
That was the #1 thing the game was lacking.. GOOD CAMERA angles.
If the camera is controllable or at least adjusts with player movements, this game will be top notch!!

Now, I love the Resident Evil series. Heck, the control scheme never bothered me. Now, I do hope the game has at least some elements of zombies and Umbrella, but considering the lead character is from RE2, it must have a connection.
Anyway, it looks freakin awesome. I just bought a gamecube, and mainly for Resident Evil. The whole series, and of course RE4. Here's hoping it's great...
And...well hopefully the new movie is at least...ok.

It looks pretty darn impressive. I hope that they give you more ammo to shoot at all the non-zombie things. If they limit it too much it will take away from all the action. I really hope this one sells well as the past couple haven't really.
I think the control scheme is the same. You push up and you move forward wherever you're facing. You push left and right and you pivot that way. It looks like a fixed over the shoulder view. I just hope the view doesn't get me sick. I read that they will have some kind of aiming system maybe similar to the latest Bond game where you can target the enemy then adjust it to make more accurate shots. It even looks like Leon shot an ax coming at him.

I played through part of RE1 and RE2, and just hated both of them. The gameplay was a mess - a combination of "find the SQUARE key for the GREEN door" and extreme ammo conservation. Playing the same sequence a hundred times so that I use only three of my five bullets got too damn old.

Which looks nothing like this game. it's pretty clear that you will be going through many clips and running to much to bother with the typical problem solving.
