Pokemon Coliseum (GC) Help Needed
 

How do you have a battle and choose the Pokemon you want to use to fight ?

It says to register first but when I try it tells me I can't use the 2 Pokemon characters from the story.

There's got to be a way to choose any Pokemon you want and have a battle with 1 or 2 or 3 other players.

Anyone know how ?

In the new NP issue it says you can't use your GBA ruby and sapphire Pokemon in Colosseum battle until you have completed story mode.
Or you need a team of purified Shadow pokemon from Story mode.
There are also certain regulations on different Colosseum

I don't want to use any GBA Pokemon.
I just want to have a quick battle and choose any Pokemon I want from the GC game.

I can't believe that you can't do that.
Why would they eliminate that ability ?

I just started playing this and it appears that you the only way to battle in the Collessum (not in story mode) is to have purified shadow Pokemon, the only battle option that will work until you complete story mode are battles with six randomly selected Pokemon you get to choose from.
