Gamecube Prince of Persia - $29.99 - Target

I see the other Target thread but I was wondering which version is better, the GameCube version of the XBox version? Or is there even a difference?

I picked this up on the Gamecube instead of the Xbox for a couple reasons. The game is in progressive scan and I only hook my GCN up to my HDTV, it came with Splinter Cell for free and I really liked the GBA/GC connectivity and most of all... Wavebird.

The game itself is a real masterpiece. I now understand how EGM named it Game of the Year. I still haven't finished it (swept up in Crystal Chronicles) but I plan on soon. The multiple ways of manipulating time in battle is fluid, let alone all the acrobatics and puzzle solving. Worth the pick up on any console. I thought I read a review somewhere that the GCN was the version of choice though.

I wonder how they came to the Xbox as a winnner if GC had better graphics and load times?

The inclusion of PoP2? :hscratch:

The game is a masterpiece no matter what version you get but from everything that I have read in all of the magazines I got, they all ranked the xbox game the best as well. They also said the graphics were also best on the xbox version so I don't know where IGN came up ith it the opposite. In any case, I'm not putting down any console (I own all three myself) But I bought the game on the XBOX and I played and looked amazing. Simply beautiful in the graphics dept and the control was as tight and fluent as ever. A must have title. Plus, I just got the new XBN Magazine and they gave it a perfect 10 - 10.

I like the game, but boy the camera is annoying.

That what I thought too. I occasionally had to manually rotate the camera or use the L2 button (I have the PS2 ver.) to get a better view.

Other than the camera.....don't really have any complain. love the control and the animation for the fighting.

but xbox live does nothing but tell your friends are online. Lame, not even worth mentioning.
