It was fun for a while. I learned a lot from this forum and had fun talking about videogames and finding deals. But frankly I'm sick of the attitude in this forum. How about reading what others write and thinking about it before passing judgment and insulting, huh? Is that too much to ask? THINK BEFORE YOU WRITE.

The FACTS: (which everyone should ALREADY KNOW based on what I wrote in the above thread)
1.) I DID back up my saves. Therefore I DID NOT lose the majority of my saves. But I DID NOT back up my DOA3, DOAX, or KOTOR saves because I didn't know how.
2.) Before I sent my xbox in for repair, I asked the customer service rep how to back up my DOA3, DOAX, and KOTOR saves. He said he didn't know how.
3.) It is xbox repair policy to "do everything in their power to preserve the gaming history on your hard disk." Quoted from their own website: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/extwarranty.htm

I can see why people are rude to you, you don't seem to respond well when people tell you their opinions on your behavior. Sending a personal email to someone calling them an idiot is defintely the grown up way to voice your displeasure. Maye you should think before you write.

Joshic's first mistake was not realizing the cardinal rule of this forum: there are certain things you can and can not discuss! (please take the following with a grain of salt)

CAN DISCUSS:
- xbox live being better than the PS2 online
- PS2's breaking down
- Nintendo going the way of the dinosaur
- Crappy PS2 graphics (textures, aliasing)
- Lame GC-GBA connections features

CAN'T DISCUSS:
- XBOX's breaking down
- the GC being a "kiddy" console
- crappy XBOX and GC graphics
- M$
- Which console is better
- Cool GC-GBA connections features ;)

It's just an internet forum, why get so worked up? By the way, where is the M$ employee/snake oil salesman that used to post here? Staying far away from this issue I guess.

so let me get this straight... the guy starts a thread about losing save games....

save games i might add, that he was going to lose anyway, because the hard drive was shot.... and there was no way to put these saves on a memory card.....

and then he lays into the forum members and the MS phone tech people.... people who had no control over the games getting lost, or the refund that he wasn't entitiled in the first place....

and then he leaves the forum.

Well, techincally, no. His DVD drive was going bad, not his hard drive. There was no reason why they couldn't have preserved his saves.
