Is Toys'R'Us brand Controller for Dreamcast anygood?

Hi, I just purchased a Dreamcast system which came with one controller and was looking into buying a second one. I saw one at TRU (TRU brand) controller and was wondering if any body had any experience with this and what they think.

Also, I have placed an order for Phantasy Star Online but read that this can't be played online anymore. Is it still worth getting?

Most 3rd party controllers for the DC were pretty crappy. I would probably get the Sega brand as the price can't be that much of a difference. Phantasy Star Online is a pretty good dungeon crawler hack n' slash, but it really shined on the online multiplayer. If you didn't pay too much and hopefully you got version 2 it's worth it.

you get get 4 Sega brand DC controller on ebay for around $20 shipped, I know that TRU does not beat that price, there was an item on there yesterday for 4 Sega brand controllers and 2 interact rumle packs for around $14.

Out of 248 DC games I only need 54 more!

They may not be as good as the Sega controllers - but I was able to find combo packs that included a controller and rumble pack for $2.48 at my local Toys'r'us last week. They work fine, and from what I can tell, any difference in quality is negligible. $5 for two new controllers and rumble packs cannot be beat.

I went ahead and bought it since it was only $2.50. Its actually quite good. It feels more robust than the sega one and it comes with a Tremor pack, you can't beat that.

Its made by InterAct for ToysRus and its called AstroPad

I have an interact one with 6 buttons, and it blows the sega one away...both in build and comfort...plus the cord doesn't come out of the front, which is about the stupidest thing ever.

interact for DC.
