whats the hype on this game?

Will it use the gladius engine?

I'm curious about it, but don't really know much.

I played the demo and didn't think much of it, and neither did EGM.

Ya I just played the demo yesterday at work.....thought it was a stupid button masher mixed with chess. You move your troops (big fantasy monsters and such) around the land, but you can only move so far...turn based RPG style. Then when you land on your oppenents guys, you enter a 1 on 1 fight...which consisted of punching/kicking etc. May have been fun back in 1993.

Ever hear of an old game called Archon? Or a slightly newer one (circa 1991) called Star Control?

This concept works really well if done properly.

I liked it! And Yes the developers made it very much like Archon! and Star Control. Only thing I wish it were online so we can battle friends from afar. Oh well, I guess I'll just have them over for Wrath Unleashed!
