no you can make an action replay for less than 5 bucks. get a usb converter to hook up your xbox controller to the computer, download the drivers and the ar software and you're all set.

I would like to get one for my Madden and NCAA rosters, but $30 is almost another game so I would be interested in a $5 version.

Thats cool, I didnt know that was possible, I thought you actually had to buy components for it. You have any links that show more detail on how to do it?

I did it... works like a charm... just make sure you download & install the proper drivers for the Xbox controller before you hook in your memory card (it's got a built in USB hub in the controller). You'll confuse the hell out of the PC if it's hooked in and it may affect the AR later on. It works best with an official memory card too. Obviously, the AR for Xbox is just a memory save trader. It's really not so useful for me, I don't have many games as it is...

Used that one as well. Quite nice and simple. Maybe not as simple as the usb interface, but with an extra breakway cable and an extra usb cable, it cost me nada.

Plus, its nice for also using the XBox controller as a PC controller.

Dangit. I want to get rid of this thing. I don't even have an xbox, and it doesn't look like it would sell on ebay. Anyone else want it?

Suggestions are welcome.

I already have 2 I'd suggest your PS2 s-video cable, but you'd be within your rights to smack me.

I should have, considering that the AR memory card included was a piece of crap and I had to buy a microsoft one to get it to work.

I would hate to rip you off, how about if I throw in an on-line adapter?

Okay I did this and it worked great, thanks DLogic for the link. I used an extra extension cable (factory one) and cut it where it plugs into the XBox, so I would have plenty of extra length in case I screwed up. I then simply spliced in the USB cable, installed Action Replays software and I am in business. So great to play NCAA with ALL the names in it.
