X-Box Live Subscription and 2 free months
 

Question : If I buy an X-Box and register the X-box Live for 2 free months, should I wait the 2 months before entering the Live starter Kit for the 12 months? Or does it not matter and enter it in when I first register the 2 month trial? Thank you for the clarification.

I have a delema. I just purchased the Live Starter kit. Everything appears to be sealed with the exception of the inside where there is a slip in the plastic as if someone tried to get into the contents. (Mind you the Box on the outside was sealed and did not appear to be tampered with.) The 12 month card is there and has NOT been scratched off. Headset still in it's origional packaging. Manuals still seem fresh (Not tampered with). The MechAssault disk is still shrink wrapped. Curious if I should just exchange the kit out of paranoia. Anyone who has the V3 Live Kit can you tell me how many disks come in it?

I appreciate the quick response! Now all I need is to buy the X-Box. (Hope to get it next week when time permits). Is there a separate X-Box Live Install Disk which comes with the MechAssault Disk? I am curious about that.

Other games i already bought is Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell.

Any other DVDTalkers care to play when I finally get online?

I think the kits come with an "install" disk, but most xboxes out now probably have it pre loaded on the dashboard (mine did and I purchased it about 9 months ago)

Any game that you play that is Live compatible will prompt you to update the Dashboard the first time you try to sign into Live. You'll also have to download the updated LIVE Dashboard the first time you sign on to Live. It's automatic and takes about 30 seconds. :)
