Gran Turismo 4/Ninja Gaidan Bumped

Gran Turismo 4 was slated for Jan. now in May. Ninja Gaidan was scheduled for 12/16 but now bumped to Feb. On the other hand, Gamecube get Sonic Heroes two weeks before the other consoles.

I wanted Ninja Gaiden so bad too. I'll probably pick up Otogi soon to feed my slash em up hunger.

Where did you see that GT4 got delayed? Incidentally, check out the new videos of GT4:Prologue over at IGN. Damn this game looks amazing. Photo-realistic almost.

These Ninja Gaiden delays are getting annoying. Its the primary reason i invested in the XBox, and i have about 17 games or so for it, and still no NG!

Poo.

Better to get pushed back and polished than to release pure steaming shit (Enter the Matrix).

Ninja Gaiden is very near completion - don't worry... My friend was playing it and he said it is amazing.

Liar!

I can't wait for Ninja Gaiden to come out. I don't mind a delay as long as the game lives up to expectations.

I haven't heard official word of a delay on NG, but I do know that it was going through some final testing - if there's a delay, it's cuz they are just ironing out some little kinks - afaik, it's pretty much done.

This is the most impressive GT4 screenshot I have seen yet. I know the background is just a bitmap but it just all looks so amazingly real! They have some more shots on 1up that are pretty amazing too. If the devil is in the details then this game is evil! It'll be worth the wait.

i was just thinking the same thing.

as far as NG is concerned... i'd rather it be delayed and amazing, than rushed and forced. there are so many good games out, i can hold off for a few on this one.

Yeah.. no way it's going to look that good in action on any system. I'm interested to see how they push the PS2's graphics, but let's see some in game shots, how will it look to us playing it?

Actually go look at some of the vids for GT4:Prologue they have up at IGN. The game looks waaaaay better than GT3 and I mean that seriously. The background detail and car detail looks frickin' amazing. Plus the animated people who run onto the track to take pictures really add to the overall feel of the rally racing. IGN claims that the in-game engine looks like the replay engine of GT3 !! And the replay engine of GT4 looks much better than that even. Seriously, look at the screenshots and videos and see for yourself.

By the way, the PS3 was not pushed to the limit by GT3. I remember reading that the PS3 Performance Analyzer measured the PS2 running at ~70% efficiency for GT3. There is much more optimization possible.

I am glad they made it a later release date. I don't have the money for GT4 right now, and as I said before, it is one of the few games I will not be able to wait for. It looks amazing, and even though I have never been truly good at GT, I want it badly.

what vids were you lookin at? Animated people who run onto the track to take pictures? All I saw were cardboard cutouts of people. Made me laugh. I did think the videos were impressive though. Looks good. Looks even a bit better than it did when I played it at E3.

Just remember the words of the great Shigeru Miyamoto - A good game is only a few more months away, but a bad game is forever. If it's going to be a great game, it's definitely worth the wait.
