I was curious if places like EB Games or Gamestop allow you to trade in DVDs for credit towards video game systems and/or video games? Or if not them, are there any other places that do that?

Yeah at EB you can trade DVDs, games, accessories, for credit. Which is good on anything in the store. You may also want to check local trade shops (used CD places) they usually handle games, DVDs, CDs, etc.

I found that Coconuts gives pretty good prices on used dvd's (and cd's for that matter too). Usually old title average about $4-$5, with new releases getting $8-$10. Most cd's I've traded in give me at least a couple bucks each.

I traded some DVD's into EB when I got my Xbox. I tried to trade about 12 movies, but they wouldn't give me more than $1 - $3 for any of them. I only traded the movies I just hated and didn't want in my collection.
Most DVD's are getting to be in the $8 to $12 range new, so they can't afford to give you much for them I guess.
