Used Island Thunder $15 at Blockbuster (YMMV)...aka...Today's Haul
So I started today knowing that I'm going to take full advantage of the $5 coupons at Best Buy. I picked up two copies of Mario Advance 4 ($19.99 each after coupon) and Advance Wars 2 ($24.99 AC). The woman checking me out looked disgusted as I asked her to ring up each item separately because I had 3 coupons. She examined the first one like I was trying to pass counterfeit money, but she took them all without giving me a hassle.
Then I stop at one of the local Blockbusters on my way home to see if I can scare up a $10 e-Reader. (No luck there, so if anybody wants to pick one up for me, I'll be glad to compensate you for your trouble.) Upon sifting through the used game bins, I came across the original Ghost Recon for $14.99. "Sweet," I think, and continue poring through the numerous, unsorted games. DING, DING, DING!
They had two copies of Island Thunder, both marked at $14.99. I took both to the counter to insure that I got the one that was least-scratched. The store manager even commented that it was a good deal since it's a relatively recent release. I have no idea if Blockbuster has company-wide policy for marking down used games, but this is a great price. I may even go back for the other copy and auction it off for a profit.

Well, I read on Anandtech that used games would be an additional $3 off. Stopped by my local stores and sure enough it was true. Picked up Brute Force and All-Star Baseball 2004 for $11.99 each. Not a bad deal if you don't mind used games (I always make sure they include the instructions manual and make them grab a green case from the back). Both stores also had TONS of PS2 games, which is the one system I lack.

I also picked up Island Thunder for $15. I hadn't played Ghost Recon much so this was a new one to me. I didn't like it much at first, but it's grown on me. Now I'm about 3/4 through it and really like it. Hard to find decent online games where people actually work together though.

I also read on Anandtech Blockbuster was selling PS2 systems for $99. Can anyone confirm this? And are these previously rented systems or brand new?

you're daaa man, siji!
I went to 2 blocks and got myself a $12 GRIT with some kind of $3 off they were giving.
By the way, I found mine with some sort of orange label with "nintendo" printed on it, but the spine said X-Box Island Thunder. Looks like that they put in the wrong insert when then converted the box from a rental into a for sale item.

A bump for all of those who don't mind buying used games or who are as poor as I am.
The $3 off used games sale was still going on ay my local BB. Additionally, it looked like they had dropped the prices on a lot of games. I picked up Outlaw Volleyball for $9.99 after the discount. I also saw Soul Calibur II for $29.99 and F-Zero X for $26.99, just to name a couple of recent titles.
