Where can I get a VGA box cheap?

Hi,

I'm looking for a universal VGA Box that I can use to hook up A/V equipment (Game system, DVD player, etc or anything that has RCA outputs) to my monitor, as I use a monitor instead of a TV for my entertainment needs. So far, I've just got my laptop hooked up to it for my DVDs, but I'd like to be able to also have my PlayStation2, etc.

I've seen one around like this:

http://www.buynshop.com/productinfophp3/VG-VGA-BOXB1

http://www.consoleplus.co.uk/catalog...roducts_id=461

Any others you suggest, or where can I get one cheap?

Thanks

Component video can be converted to VGA with a very cheap cable (around $5). You could do the component switching with a cheap RCA switchbox from Radio Shack. Of course you'd need component outputs on all of the game systems which might not be so cheap, but it would certainly look better then running composite signals into your monitor.

Ah, are you sure about that way is cheaper? I looked on the radio shack website and did a quick search on google, and all the divices that I saw that converted component to vga cost 100$-200$+!!!

Hi,

Yeah, I knew ebay was a source, but most of the reviews I've read have been very negative of these, saying a TV is the better option. Which is the most reliable and best one that can do BOTH xbox and PS2? or are the universal ones pretty crappy? I play PS2 more than the XBOX so if anything I want the best PS2 one that's out there.
