My fingers are crossed...as this will give me my fix until the Mega Man Compilation Disc is released next year.

I JUST now got an e-mail saying mine was backordered. They will no doubt cancel it without telling me like they did before.

I sent Best Buy a question regarding my backordered games... this is what they said:

"Your order will remain active until your items ship, or for up to 25 days. If the items don't come off of a backorder status within 25 days, we provide you with an option to continue to wait. We can extend the backorder period for the product. Or, if you prefer not to wait, we can cancel this order for you."

I also just received another email from them saying:

"The item listed below is not yet available to be shipped. We expect to ship it to you in the next 23 days."

I'm still skeptical and checking my account constantly to see if they will cancel this without notice.

Got another order canceled. Another one backordered. I hate these guys.

BestBuy.com really must have about the worst distribution ever.

Are you guys kidding? Worst Distribution? I have had 3 orders cancelled because they said they were out of stock. It's a scam. They don't want to fulfill the total orders placed. So they claim it's been backordered. When I placed orders for Skies of Arcadia Legends and Panzer Dragoon Orta, I got in fine and were received. The next day I checked the website and they were available to be ordered still. Two days later (Thursday) I saw they were both Sold Out. I waited another 3 days, until the Sunday after the sale is over. Suddenly the items are available to order... magically! 3 weeks later my order was cancelled. They have the goods, they just don't want to allow all customers to take advantage of it. They shouldn't accept orders if they are going to cancel them without warning. I still haven't received notice that my items we're cancelled. Granted both games I ordered are not available on the website anymore, it's still no reason to run a business this way.

Even my DVD copies of Matrix Reloaded and INDY Trilogy, which I ordered on Tuesday was BACKORDERED! There are hundred's of thousands of these titles and it's backordered from their warehouse? Gimme a break.

I just stumbled onto this thread today, but it probably wouldn't have done me any good. Whenever I try to re-register for BB.com's wonderfully new site -rolleyes- it says it doesn't recognize my address and can't complete the registration.

And this is after placing nearly $1000 worth of orders to the same address on the older, better site!!

I didn't follow my order that closely (a friend had to tell me to check the status of my first cancelled order), but I was inclined to agree until I saw your second paragraph. Not wanting to fulfill all those $9.99 games is one thing, but I can't see why they wouldn't want to fulfill Matrix Reloaded or Indiana Jones.
