Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 announced Crave Entertainment announced that its next racing game for the PS2 will feature licensed vehicles from 15 different manufacturers. Crave Entertainment has today announced that it will release Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 for the PlayStation 2 in North America later this year. The game, which is currently in development at Genki, will allow players to race in licensed vehicles from 15 manufacturers including Nissan, Toyota, GM, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen. Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 will see players racing on over 200 miles of track based on the highways of Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. As they progress through the game, players will be able to tune their vehicles with custom parts from Hart. Riverside, and Yokohoma. The game will also feature a pixel-level skin editor allowing players to customize their paint jobs. Tokyo Xtreme Racer is currently scheduled for release later this year and is expected to retail for under $20. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available. Why is this game so cheap? Is there something wrong with it for it to be a budget title?

I think it's because this franchise hasn't sold especially well for them, but because Crave has been relelasing it since the first one for the Dreamcast they might have signed distribution rights early on and is just trying to dump this one for a small profit.

I just picked this game up. It is really good so far. There is a ton of stuff you can modify/change on your car...very cool.
