Morrowind won't load.
 

I have Morrowind for the XBOX. Neither my save nor a new file will load. It shows loading and then it freezes right at the moment the game is supposed to begin. My other XBOX games play fine. Help? :(

See if it will work on another Xbox.

Is this the original Morrowind or GOTY? If it's the original, you might want to go over to the official site (www.elderscrolls.com). There are a lot of known problems with the game.

The original Morrowind was kind of buggy, but I never had problems at the beginning. It was always because I had too much stuff in my inventory.

Also, if you start playing Morrowind and get into it, don't expect to play anything else for at least a month or two. That was about the only game I played the summer it came out. Great game!

Anyone know if the bugs were fixed for the GOTY edition?

I erased the save and it now works. I now have 2 saves at all times and save only while outside.

Supposedly most of the bugs were taken care of. The ones I remember being really bad involved making sure that your save slots were under 200 blocks otherwise it would freeze pretty regularly. The more save files you have, it also seems to slowly increase the file size -- coincidence? Erase older ones as you go along and watch the file size and you should be good.

I'll pick up the GOTY version pretty soon -- I didn't even know it was out. $30 is a STEAL.
