I'm going to keep one Rebel Strike guide for myself, leave one for a hopeful FFTA trade, and that leaves 3 extras in my possession. If anyone wants one I'll ship it to you for 6 bucks (that should cover the packaging and the postage due). Just e-mail me if you're interested and you can pay via Paypal.

I have 2 extra Manhunts and a Prince of Persia that I will trade for any of the below. No sales otherwise I'm afraid. I spent 5 hours driving around looking for the below guides and while I'm usually a nice guy and will sell my penny guides for a penny (plus $1.54 media mail), I really want to get the below guides.
maybe Gladius
maybe Super Mario advance 4
Counterstrike
XIII
Star Wars Rebel Strike
Star Wars KOTOR
Star Wars Jedi Academy

Now I have Max Payne 2, Manhunt, and Rebel Strike.
I'm looking for a trade for Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles, oh you get the point.

went to BB yesterday and tried to pick up SOCOM II guide (heard it somewhere that it was only 1 cent).
ANyway, there was a price sticker on it so I go to one of the BB people near a computer for a price check. At first the guy just pointed at the sticker price, so I told him that I heard some of the guides are only 1 cent.
The guy just laugh at me and told me that it was a RARE thing and only BB employee can get that discount. Needless to say, I didn't pickup the guide.
ANyone had similar experience w/ me??

All the time, they always quote the price on the guide and feel stupid when it rings up for $.01.
I think the employee was wrong about it being for BB employees only. I see price tags on the counter every now and then showing the $.01 amt. Even though, if the item is on the shelf, the store would have to sell you one copy for whatever the price and then remove the rest.

They're always making up some rule, like you have to buy a game to get that guide or some such thing. Anyways, I usually just try again later. Picked up Mario & Luigi, Mario Kart and The Hobbit for $0.03 today. Might have to go try SOCOM 2. I keep trying R&C Commando, but no dice yet.

I bought Mario Kart last month, and went back today and got it pricematched down to a penny.

Actually, rfduncan, that's not quite true about not being able to price check on the floor.
Some of those terminals are equiped with scan guns, or they just key in the bar code, either way, I've had them price check plenty of guides for me on the floor.
Also, those little portable scan guns you see some of them carrying in those hip-holsters will give the $.01 price as well.
These options allow me to pick up 10 guides and NOT have to stand in line with them to find out whether or not they're a penny.
Just an FYI.

Went to 2 BBs today, and found the following penny guides:
DBZ: Budokai 2
Yu-Gi-Oh: Sacred Cards
Mario & Luigi
XIII
The Hobbit
Curiously, Socom II and Need for Speed: Underground both rang up $14.99. This proves that after a period of clearance the guide prices reverts back to normal.
