Does Anyone Here Ever Get On Zbattle For Some Online Snes Gaming?
I was just wondering if any of the gamers here ever get on Zbattle to play SNES games online.
A buddy of mine told me about this thing and that the gameplay was absolutely amazing....
So, since I was a longtime member of the Xband network for both SNES and Genesis I had missed the days of playing against other players from across the nation from the comfort of my own home.
Does anyone know how the connections are so good? I often play Mario Kart, Street Fighter, and Mortal Kombat with players all over the world and there is NO lag whatsoever. Yet when I get on Kailera(Online Client For Mame)the connections are horrible with lag out the yin yang!
Anyways, I just wanted to see if anyone here regularly plays on Zbattle and if you do....what is your screenname??
Mine is ToadStyle. If you want to read more about it you can check out Zbattle.net and Zsnes.com

That would involve downloading illegal roms, which is against the rules of this forum I think.
(but since you asked, I've been zbattling for a few years now, I dominate Tetris Attack but I don't play online too much, my sister gives me better competition than most people I've found on there for that game, we usually play LAN . The connection is a direct connection IP to IP I think, so if you are both on broadband thats why there's no lag).

Who said anything about downloading roms.....
Being a Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat player, I own all the snes and genesis versions anyway.
The discussion isnt about anything illegal. I suppose if someone talks about Mame, its automatically wrong because of the same point?? Nevermind that ...
I just wanna know if anyone else is familiar with this matching service and other peoples opinions on it. Maybe even set up a few games

I just got the latest version of Zbattle....works great! Also, if u are running Xp, you may want to disable your firewall. I couldnt connect at first because of the firewall protection that comes with Xp.
Once I got it disabled, everything ran very well.
