the people in the thread who said its gonna be 99? is that true?
was it ever confirmed by anyone?
I know the title says unconfirmed but someone in here said that at target they saw the ad and it would be 99

The PS2 Online pack is the one with the +. My store received 4 Online packs (Network adapter and ATV 2) with the little yellow + on the bottom right hand corner.

The on-line pack would have eventually been packed with the new PS2 model since they probably stopped making the older models. The Sony Metreon in SF is still selling the older model PS2 with and without, the on-line pack.

I think Sony just announced a 20% price drop in Japan on the ps2, so something might happen, if anything, I'd guess 149.99 if they do drop. Probably also in response to Nintendo's great response to their low price.

A 20% drop in the US means a price around $144, so it looks like the $149 price will be the best bet.

I still have hope for a Black Friday $99 deal!

If Sony/XBOX don't lower the Price down $149.99 b4 holiday start. Most peoples going out pickup the GC instead :)

I read that Coconuts was starting to sell xbox's for $149. I can't verify it, yet.

A post in another forum, which I will not specifically name but just give the hint that it rhymes with "Cat Fallet", mentioned a FYE selling the online pack for $179.99, and another person picking up the online pack at Circuit City for $179.99.

Could this be an intermediatory price drop? Could the online pack be dropping to $149.99? Who knows, but it's fuel for the forum fire nonetheless...
