Those of you who pre-ordered Tiger Woods 2004 at Best Buy for $20...

Did you guys get any confirmation email of any kind yet. Supposed to have been released on 9/23. My order is still listed as 'In Process'. Can't decide if I should wait this out, or just go and buy the game.

I thought 9/25/03 was the release date.

Mine says backordered and should ship 10-7-03. Oh well. I have ESPN hockey taking up alot of my time so it's no big deal.

I just got the backordered notice as well. It's come this far, I hope it goes through. I've haven't pre-ordered a video game for a long time from Bestbuy.com, so I don't know if this is normal or not.

Mine is backordered too.
I guess that means Best Buy is not the place to pre-order from, since pre-ordering is supposed to get around the whole "out of Stock" thing.

Backordered as well. As long as it eventually ships for $20 I'll be happy. Maybe the Cube version got delayed.

Backordered here too... But when you look at the page for Tiger Woods 2004 for GameCube, it says something about shipping in 5-7 days. So who knows...

All three versions are listed as "5-7 days." It could just mean that they are awaiting shipment from EA.

for some reason, all the big retail places (i.e. Circuit City, Toys R Us etc) are not releasing this game until the 25th. I pre-ordered this title too from Best Buy and got the same email. I did however buy the game from Gamestop yesterday...and so far it's awesome!!!

Question for those who already own the Gamecube version. How many blocks does it take up on the memory card?

Backordered for me also. i hope this doesn't mean they are just going to let the order sit there for a couple months then cancel it. I have ben debating whether I should just go to the B@M and pick it up and return my web order when/if it ever comes.

Backorder.

I doubt they'll cancel though. They've had plenty of time to do it, i can't imagine that they'd wait until *now* to do it.

Backordered for me as well. Hell to pay if they charge my creditcard anything over 19.99 plus Tax.

Just returned from BB, the Cube version WAS in stock so for shits and giggles I went to customer service to see if I could pick the copy up there since my online shipment was back-ordered. After checking my name and phone number (?) he told me that the website didnt show my order and if I wanted it now, I would pay for it now (at 49.99) and possibly be charged twice for it. I ran crying from the store. I dont have much experience with mis-pricing and was wondering; Is BB obligated to send our 19.99 TW2004?

Backordered, but here is good news. My credit card that I pre-ordered with was denied because it was stolen, etc. and I had to give a new one. Problems happened along the way and the only thing I could do was to get them to place a new order at full price and ship all the information to their "trauma center" and get them to credit me the difference.

They sent me an email apologizing for the inconvenience but that they would honor the original "sale" price. So I think we are in the clear.

Interesting. My order is still listed as "In Process" and not backordered. I actually had some billing problems with BB myself. Got an email from them stating that I should call them because they couldn't process my charge. I just told them to try the same CC again. Perhaps I should call them back and find out what happened.

FYI, the GC version of the game comes on 2 discs.

Something's going on with the Gamecube version of this game. I checked several other sights (Ebgames, Gamestop, and even EA's own store) and it's backordered everywhere.

Has anybody seen the Gamecube version on the shelves?

Again, the Gamecube version IS ON THE SHELF at my local Best Buy. I called customer service today to see if I could pick the game up rather than wait for the back-order. The customer service lady cancelled my order and will credit me the 30.00 after I pick it up at best buy for full price.

So you made another order on bestbuy.com for instore pickup? I'd consider doing this too, but my local best buy is not listed as having the game in stock when I type in my zip code. Guess I will have to wait either way.

My guess is that they're just trying to weed out the people who got in on their goof and they're hoping some of us will cancel out.

It looks like the bestbuy zip code search is a little busted. I had to go through a few pages before selecting the store that was actually closest to me. Probably gonna call like Drive-In Nut and try to get the price adjusted after in-store pickup.

Good news, it looks like they are getting ready to ship this out. I checked my order status this morning and got this:
Status: 1 item(s) - Order in process of being fulfilled; Usually ships in null - null days.
