Pokemon for GBA??

Okay, I finally got a GBA and have seen that there are a ton of different Pokemon games.. Although, I'm not into Pokemon I really don't know anything about it, so I can't really talk trash... Anyway, I was thinking of trying one of these games to see what all the hype is about? which one would you guys recommend?

Ruby and Sapphire are the newest ones and the only ones for GBA specifically. They are okay solo but to really enjoy you need other people to play with so you can trade and engage in battles.

They are re-making the first Pokemon games Red and Blue (aka Green in Japan) on GBA and they will be compatible with Ruby and Sapphire, meaning that you will be able to trade the new Pokemon to the remakes and the old Pokemon from the remake to the new game.

Pokemon Pinball is just a pinball game with Pokemon characters.

The rest are for old GB/GBC.
