"Found My copy" Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
I Remember I buyed this game whensoever 1st comming out for PS. Played 3-4 times & putting it away but never been found it againz. Didn't matter how many many times I searching around the house still can't find the game " Finally, I given up"
Few years later......till todayz... I wanted to re-watch some of my old DVD movies but I glad i find it in the DVD cabinet ... Just like New game
So, This game still worth compare w/ 3 castlevania games already release on GBA ??

Probably one of the best PSX games, even if it is a rip-off of Super Metroid.
SOTN is better than the GBA games, but the GBA games have portability going for them.

You'll see that the PSX version has better graphics, a stellar soundtrack, and is a better game all around (IMO).
Unfortunately, the new PS2 Castlevania doesn't look like it will approach the greatness of SotN.

You'd have to play it to understand.. if I tried to put it in words it wouldn't really make sense. Super Metroid isn't the first game to have non-linear play, but CotN really copied alot of the "feel" of Super Metroid, and even went as far to have the EXACT same map system. The big difference is of course theme, Metroid is sci-fi with aliens and guns, SotN is gothic and with swords etc. SotN did add the whole "RPG-like" stats system to thier game, which would NOT work well in Metroid..

Castlevania: SOTN is the best Castlevania game so far. It's still worth playing today.
My only problem is that I don't want to start all over, and I've reached a point where I can't level up any more and the weapons I have equipped allow me to kill any enemy with one blow, and usually multiple enemies in the same area. I can defeat the final form of Dracula in about four seconds.
Makes the game kinda boring now. Of course, I probably have a good 80 hours in play time invested in it, so I got my money's worth.

I loved SoTN, had a great soundtrack, graphics, one of my favorites of all time. I recently finished Aria of Sorrow on the GBA and it was pretty good too. Wasn't as good graphically or audio wise (its a GBA afterall) but was still awesome for what it was and had an interesting story, especially the second ending.

I have the Saturn one (that's why I said +2 for Saturn) I don't care about playing Maria cause it's as dull and uselss and Richter. If I remember correctly, one new area was pretty lame (short, and just connected two exsisting areas). The other was alright, nothing special I think a new boss. The best added feature was DASH BOOTS, double tap forward and run. Yay. But yeah, graphics took a kidney punch.. they could've used the RAM cart and made something for the record books.

Yeah.. I wish I had a Duo.. there's a new program doing the rounds that allows you to place smaller HuCard images on a CD and play them on a real duo.

Damn Blaster Master rip offs
SOTN is a killer game, play it. And if you don't like it, sell it you'll probably make a profit - a USED copy of the game goes for nearly $40 at EB here.

I just picked up a used copy for $15 at half.com...
If you are patient (and quickly respond to wishlist notices), you can usually get used games pretty cheap from there...

Saw this the other day in Costco for $13 and came this close to buying it. I didn't know if I'd like it and don't know where my ps1 memory cards are, but maybe if it's really good I'll go pick it up tomorrow.
