Video Game Music... remixed.
I did a search and it only came up with 2 results (one was a mention that went unnoticed 9 months ago and the other was from 2 years ago)... never been a thread on it as far as I can tell.
Anyway - it's old news, but I'm sure some of you haven't seen this yet - OverClocked ReMix - it's a site that has tons and tons of video game music remixed by people... mostly electronica, but other genres of music as well. It's a pretty cool site - if you're into game music and such. Chances are, your favorite games theme song is there, remixed for your pleasure (or pain or whatever). I ran into this site a couple of years ago, but forgot about it until I saw it mentioned in XBN. The site has grown since I saw it last.

Thanks Trigger! Great site.
I remember sitting in my room with my Sega Genesis (the first model with the headphone jack) and listening to the music from games like Streets of Rage and Thunderforce III. It was great how you could easily access game music back then just by going through the options screen. If only more designers incorporated that today.

no problem... I thought there would be a few people who hadn't seen it yet. Some of the songs are pretty cool - alot of them are kinda lame though. Check the review part of the forum and look for ones that other people liked.

Wow, I have had this link in my favourites for some time now, but I thought I was the only geek here interested in Videogame music and remixes.
This is a great site!
Ian
Oh, and you can find the originals here.

my favorites are the Sonic the Hedgehog remixes, there are also some wicked Tetris remixes.
I also love the "old western piano" version of the Super Mario 2 overworld music
