Originally posted by Setzer I got my info from GameFAQ's web site. It was posted in their forums...it says, 'Before purchasing the item press 'Start' to compare the stats of an item compared to an equipped one'. The majority of people who posted in regards to this same subject agreed with the poster and there were lots of people that hadn't figured this out yet and thanked him. Personally I have not tried this myself as the game hasn't been released yet.....I take it you're playing an import copy? The start button only brings up stat differences when equipping items, not in the shop. However, this isn't a huge deal because items aren't really better or worse - I pick weapons based on the skills characters gain from them. I will say that I'm glad the emulator I'm using allows you to run at triple speed by holding a button down - I can't imagine playing this game through all the battles at normal speed. Square should make this a standard option - they allowed you to speed the game up when playing through Chrono Cross a 2nd time. |
Originally posted by DVD Lamer If you like FFT/FFTA, check out Disgaea too. Great strategy RPG game. Disgaea has a lot of flaws but it's a lot more fun than Tactics. I'm playing the final US version on a PC emulator. I have FFTA on preorder (and own several other GBA games although I don't own a GBA - I'm not going to throwaway my eyesight by playing a game for 30+ hours on a 2 inch screen). |

Found a couple reviews for FFTA for those of you who are planning on purchasing or still undecided....
Gamespy - 94/100 "I'd go as far as saying FFTA is the best game I've played all year." IGN - 9/10 "....the good far outweighs the annoyances, and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is a highly recommended adventure for the GBA." |
