lol, talk to you in a couple weeks when you're wondering what else there is to do in SC2 now that you have finished it. Not knocking the game, of course, since I never played it. Fighting games aren't my cup of tea, hehe.
Maybe you'll learn from your mistakes and get Madden again somewhere down the line. :D And yes, NFL Blitz is fun....for about 15 minutes :D |

I was always a fan of Madden until I got the 2004 edition for X-box.
Sure it looks amazing and the features are awesome but Franchise mode got me MAD!!! On 2 occasions I re-signed key players to 2 or 3 year deals during the season; when that season ended I had to sing them up again !!?? I was broke so instead of charging $9 for a foam finger and $7 for a hot-dog to recuperate my losses I promptly sold back my game and waiting for NHL 2004... |
can't wait for NHL 2004, I heard it has the same deep franchise as Madden :D

In the interests of uncovering the truth, I took it upon myself to try out Madden 2004 for the first time at Best Buy on Pro difficulty with 5 minute quarters. I picked up the game on the side of the Broncos against the Colts, partway through the first quarter, with no one on the board.
I ended up stompling the Colts 35-30. On my way to the win I directly caused two fumbles and one blocked PAT. I played pretty aggressively on offense, going for it most of the time on 4th down. My QB ended up throwing for a little over 200 yds and 4 TDs, earning him the Chuck Wagon Player of the Game title or whatever quirky Maddenism they gave him. Sorry d00der. |
Well, I can pretty much score at will (except when I magically contract fumblitis) - but I still can't stop anyone on defense. Typical scores for me are 42-40...
I never stop anyone when I need to. Anytime the computer needs to score, it does. One play, 80 yards, touchdown. I've been using playmaker, adjusting my linebackers but I still just keep giving up the big plays. I switch to CB's - I don't switch, it doesn't seem to matter. How do I stop the bleeding on defense?? |

well, that was after, I gave up 82 and 13(I won against the Bengals YAAAA!!). The game is too hard, or I really suck
