Games that should be made into Movies
With the recent adaptions of games to movies like Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, etc., what others would you like to see?
I think they should make a movie out of the Silent Hill Series, prefferably the 2nd game. It Should star Kiefer Sutherland as the main character James Sunderland and be directed by David Fincher.

I completely agree with you about Silent Hill 2. However, David Fincher is a terrible choice - a much better one is Kiyoshi Kurosawa. If you've seen "Cure" and "Kairo", you'll know why.

I think they should make Duke Nukem into a movie with Ben Affleck as the lead... that would be cool! (Just kidding!)
If they did it right, a live-action Legend of Zelda movie would be a fun one, but then again they would probably screw it up.

Halo - A: VinDiesel (although he probably won't want to wear the suit/helmet and I wouldn't give him much dialog ) D: Cameron
AvP - A: I think I'd follow the comic and original alien idea and give it a female lead... noone comes to mind off hand though D: Twohy (Pitch Black, Below)
Silent Hill - I like the Kiefer idea, and I even like Fincher usuallyBlinx - Sat morning cartoon
Spy Hunter - although it would probably turn into a generic James Bond knock off
Extermination - same w/ Spy Hunter (except The Thing instead of JB ) and I don't think this game ever generated enough of a following
Unfortunately all the other games I've been playing recently have either been based on movies themselves (LotR, Kung-Fu Chaos) or are too generic to really do anything w/ I mean how many different films do we already have along the lines of SOCOM or the Tom Clancy things...

I can really picture Hugh Jackman in the role of Solid Snake.

I want to see it as much as anyone, especially after seeing how cool Samus was in Metroid Prime, but I know they'll screw it up...well maybe not...but the odds are against VG-movies.

hey guys, thought i'd add my two cents as a long time lurker and a first time poster... i think it'd be cool to see Chrono Trigger. Not live action though, but CG, kinda like Final Fantasy: TSW. Could be a huge, sprawling epic what with the time travel, exotic locales, giant cast of characters and all.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City would be a great film, but if they wanted to be at all faithful it would cost $120 million, be R-rated, and condemned by every critic on the planet. Oh wait, they made it already. It was called Bad Boys 2.

I think someone mentioned it on this board before but i think a Splinter Cell movie would be cool. And ofcourse i think everone agrees how much Sam Fisher looks like George Clooney, i even titled my Splinter Cell save file Danny Ocean, get it, i hope so.

"Virtual Valerie 2"
"I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream" of course it was a book first, but cool game when it came out.
"Leisure Suit Larry" maybe have Eugene Levy play Larry.
"Ultima" Would be alittle to much like LOTR's, but I'd see it.
