Advance Wars 2 Ring Islands Warroom walkthrough help please
I'm 3 away from finishing the Warroom. In everything else I can get S but in this one A's the best I've been able to get. I can't find walkthroughs for this and I've searched. There are some that claim to be walkthroughs but give directions to find Drake and the COs are Olaf and Grit.
Can anyone point the way? :) |

I know I stumbled upon a great Advance Wars 1 website last year. I'll see if I can find it for you.

AW Revival is awesome. It'll come in handy once I go through and try for all S Ranks

I used Max (not sure if it matters):
Day 1: Make 2 Infantry on the top right of your island Day 2: Make a Lander and load both Infantry, make a Tank on the top right Day 3: Move the Lander as far North as it can go, make another Lander in top right, load the Tank Day 4: Move Lander 2 straight East, Move Lander 1 North 1 and East as far as it will go, make another Tank Day 5: Move Lander 2 to the island where the infantry are heading, drop the Tank off (I left my tank off just above the city). Move Lander 1 to the lower Port near the HQ and drop both your Infantry (one is at risk by an anti-air), make another Tank (or 2) Day 6: You probably just got attacked by an anti-air. Suck it up and leave that infantry. Capture the HQ with your other infantry. Move the tank on the lower island and attack the northern most Infantry Day 7: Capture the Blue HQ and watch the fireworks. You are now the Donald Trump of Advance Wars with all your new real estate. If you can't take out the Green guy then you shouldn't be playing. Credit goes to my brother for this strategy that we used in AW1. I've done this myself in AW2 as I wrote this, obviously the AI could change up so you may have to try it a few times to get it exactly right. You need Lander 2 to decoy his attack away from his HQ. One tip I got off one of the FAQs for maximum power is you need to completely destroy 10% of the enemy units in a single turn. Damaging them is not enough, however, it doesn't matter if they weren't full power when you destroy them completely. You'll need to destroy a bunch of Green units in a single turn to maximize power so you should build up a massive attack just ahead of going after the other HQ (but you probably knew that if you have 29 S Ranks). Can anyone give me some tips on the "Risky Vale" board in the War Room.
I keep getting my butt kicked! Tried using a couple different COs, but I get the same result. :( Thanks for any help! |
