As other's have said dont' judge it by a multiconsole game. Almost all of these are developed for the PS2 (as there are around 60-65 million of these compared to around 10 million X-boxes and 5-6 million gamecbues out there) and as such don't take full advantage of the more powerful hardware in the X-box or GC.

I'm perfectly happy with my X-box so far. The type S is very usable. Better than the Dual Shock 2 (hate the placement of the right analog stick), not as good as the GC controller IMO. My only really gripe is the location of the black and white buttons and the start and back button.

The only other gripe is the size of the system, I can't shut the glass doors on my entertainment center with the controller plugged in, so I have to unhook it everytime I'm done playing which is a pain in the ass.

Graphics I can't really comment on. All I have is KOTOR, and the character models and textures are nothing special in that game so it's not a good one to judge by.

Guys, guys..

1. Get a good job, or rob a bank
2. Buy all 3 consoles and the games you like best
3. Enjoy the games rather than suffering through buyer's remorse

I learned a month ago to ignore Ken Kutaragi Jr's posts.

The only unpredictable thing in this thread would be how soon he insults anybody who doesn't show the same undying love for Sony that he does.

Are they coming out with dance mat for this game?

I've played a lot of games for all the systems. X-Box usually has the edge in terms of graphics on multi-console games but I'd agree it isn't as huge a jump in graphics as I thought it'd be either or as most people make it out to be (there's one exception). The best graphics will be in the exclusive games and the developers that take the time to do the best possible job. And in using that, I'd say all the systems are pretty evenly matched, even the PS2 which is a year older than the GC and X-Box. I am continuosly impressed at what they are able to do with it, I still haven't seen better character animation than in Xenosaga. I don't think the X-Box is a bad system, it has its positives and negatives. It does seem to be getting way too many PC ports and PC style games though, but MS's target audience are American gamers.

Don't know if it's officially OOP, but I picked up my copy at a Best Buy not too long ago. So they're still floating around.

"I think that as more people buy PS2s with the online package (especially after the next price drop) you'll see the PS2 online community overtake Live. Maybe I'm wrong, but I bet a lot of J6P's will look at the two systems and say "Why should I pay $50 to take my Xbox online when I can go online with the PS2 right now for free?"

Your assuming they will buy the BRAND new PS2 Online packs that come with the adapter. The Blue boxes will be around for a while. Not to mention the fact people will buy used systems which will not include the adapter.

Also, when the next price drops hit, Xbox will most likley still be $20 cheaper then the PS2 Online pack. So they would be spending an 'extra $50' to obtain the Live Subscription. Too some this might suck, but you also have to take into consideration that your not going to be spending $25 for a memory card either.

Asssuming the Drops...

Xbox - New $150
PS2 - New/Online Pack $170

Xbox + LIVE $200
PS2 (W Network adapter) + Memory Card - $195

I won't even try and factor in if you plan on buying a multi-tap, or when you will eventually need 2-3 more Memory cards.

BTW, I own all three major systems.

Exactly.

I'll consider your opinion after you play a few more games.

Actually I don't lean toward X-Box in real life at all. I'm open to all the consoles, and unlike you I actually own all 3. I tend to defend any console getting bashed, and it seems like around here X-Box gets it a lot.

I for one would never play a multiplatform EA Sports game on another console for a few hours and writeup a post called "impressions" based on that alone.

Anyway, if you want to discuss your suspension, and possible future suspensions based on your hostile posting style, please feel free to email me or any mod.

Thanks.

Closing. It's become a console war thread and we have many of those. Feel free to have a thread with your 2nd Impressions though.

Thanks
