Darn it. I thought you would post something on the anticipated "big news".

Re: OXM - September Official Xbox Magazine contents

Playable
Brute Force - Didn't like the game
ESPN NFL Football (1st person disabled) - Not into sports
Soul Calibur II - I'm curious about this game so I'm happy
Otagi Myth of Demons - Not even sure what this game is

Features
Halo 2 (full E3 9min trailer) - I guess it will be nice to see this on my TV
Ninja Gaiden - Not interested
Xbox 2003-2004 (short video footage of 50 current/upcoming games) This might be nice to see

Videos
Dino Crisis 3 - Looks better than 2 so I'm curious
Freedom Fighters - Slightly interested
Soul Calibur II - Like I said.....it might get me to buy the game
The Hobbit - Not interested at all
The Hulk - Game bored me even more than the movie
Voodoo Vince - Could be cool

Downloadable Content
Splinter Cell : Kola Cell - Already have it
Run Like Hell - Don't care
Toe Jam & Earl III : Mission to Earth - Don't care

Hmmm.

Better than the previous few issues but I'm sure that I won't be renewing. It would be worth it for those without LIVE but I can't see spending more money on this mag.

Since I don't have Xbox Live, I'm pretty excited about the Kola Cell mission for Splinter Cell. It's about time they finally put it on one of their discs!

Soul Calibur II on the demo disc supports 720p.

Looks crisp and clear but maybe not as good as DOA3.

Otogi is basically Shinobi for Xbox. This game rocks with its destructible environments.

I'm glad I still have subscription, great disc this month.

Otogi is sweeeeet. Much higher fun factor than Gunvalkyrie while still keeping some of what made GV cool.

SC2 and Brute Force are also games to definitely pick up after this test run.

also looks like there'll be True Crime and XIII stuff pretty soon too.

Are the playable demos the finished product, for instance would the graphics for ESPN Football 2004 be he same as if I bought it?

graphics should be essentially the same, but that doesn't mean that there couldn't be a nasty graphical bug or any other bug for that matter present.

Oh and Armando is spot on -- randomly destructible environments in Otogi rock the house. Knocking craters in the ground, etc.

Otogi does rock... really pretty game.

Noticed on the back page that next month will have big news about GTA Vice City (or so it hinted).

I liked Otogi but for some reason couldn't get into SCII, and I'm a big fan of the SC series. Maybe it's just the characters available on the demo. I'll still get the game though.

I tried Otogi on a whim and I also enjoyed it. I'll be looking forward to its release.

I didn't like Soul Calibur 2 either. After finally playing the original on the Dreamcast and playing this demo on the disc and playing the preview at E3, I've decided that I don't like it. I don't think it's a good fighter. I just can't see why people like it so much. I never liked Virtua Fighter either though... I think DOA3 and Mortal Kombat are better. I actually enjoyed Kakuto Chojin more and that was a terrible game.
