:( wish it was sooner... |
Crystal Chronicles and Sword of Mana are first party games?
What's Pokemon Channel? |
Damn. No FF:CC til 2004. At least there's Capcom, Lucasfilm, EA and Konami. Good RPS's on GBA.
|
Mario Golf is still coming out soon right? Next week maybe?
|
I don't see any AAA titles for the Gamecube in 2003. Everything there seems to be a rehash of old games.

It seems like most people who own a Gamecube are into their first party stuff... 4 first party games in the second half of the year isn't gonna cut it. What's christmas gonna be like for GC? I almost feel like they should've held off on releasing F-Zero until Sept or Nov just so it looked like they had something going for them. Guess Mario Kart will be a big deal. Here's Microsoft's first party lineup for the rest of 2003 for comparison... Fable Psychonauts Sudeki Links 2004 Project Gotham Racing 2 Counter-Strike Amped 2 Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge NHL Rivals 2004 Top Spin Voodoo Vince Grabbed by the Ghoulies NBA Inside Drive 2004 NFL Fever 2004 Nintendo's first party lineup should look more like this - or at least half as many games. |
Fable has been delayed until next year or whenever it's ready.
|
i'm happy about the FF:CC delay, I can't afford all these games so I was going to pass on FF:CC but maybe now I'll get it if it comes out in 2004.
|
Mario Golf July 28th :D

Man, I can't wait for Mario Kart: Double Dash! When is Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes coming out? I was pretty sure it was coming out before Christmas. That and Viewtiful Joe.
|
November 12th for MGS:TTT, October 8th(?) or thereabouts for Viewtiful Joe.
On a side note, doesn't Nintendo own part of Silicon Knights? |
Lineup looks good to me. Combined with the Capcom and other exclusives its more than I'm going to be able to buy for the Cube.

Originally posted by Josh Hinkle I said it was release dates for "most" of Nintendo's first party games, not that the list was "only" first party games. ;) |
Well, blame gamers.com, I took the title from first line of the story: "Nintendo today clarified release details for nearly all of its remaining 2003 and early 2004 games."
:D |

The other thing is Nintendo doesn't have a huge inhouse development team, and most of their AAA games are do to Miyamoto, and one guy can only do so much.

Originally posted by Kellehair Quality over quantity. I'd rather have Mario Kart than 2 of every game you listed. Plus that's not a complete list anyway. Well here is my "to buy" list:
July Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour Aug. F-Zero GX Soul Calibur II (w/Link!) Sept. Rogue Squadron 3 Oct. Viewtiful Joe Nov. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Mario Party 5 Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes Dec. 1080 Avalanche The lineup looks great to me! :D |
Originally posted by Trigger All Miyamoto does is have weird dreams and tell his developers about em so they can make games based on em. For example, he had nothing to do with Metroid Prime initially, and it was supposedly looking pretty bleak, so they sent him to help Retro out, and it ended up winning some Game of the Year awards last year. But I was mainly talking from personal preference. There's very few first party Nintendo games that he wasn't involved with that I've enjoyed. His games are the main reason I still play games. |
