How many of you still play old systems?
I was just dusting off the old Super Mario Bros and it's still as fun as always. Granted the controllers were not the most comfortable, but you can still spend a whole after on just that game alone.
Define "old system". I still play Goldeneye and Rogue Squadron on my N64 and River Raid, Yar's Revenge, and Asteroids on my 2600.
I still have my SNES hooked up and play it fairly regularly. I also play GB/GBC games on my GBA/GB player as well.
I play more older then newer. My Top Loading NES is ALWAYS hooked up. I also have my TG16, JVC X-eye (Genesis/Sega CD Combo system with a 32x stuck in it), Dreamcast, SNES, N64 and 2600 always in rotation. Not to even mention my Nomad, Game Gear, Game.com, Wonderswan, Neo Geo Pocket Colot, and Game Axe (Portable Famicom/NES system).
We still have our N64 up and still play Mario Kart 64 and and Goldeneye occasionally.
I've been playing the hell out of Mario Tennis on the N64.
I still had my SNES and NES hooked up till a while ago, when I discovered emulators for the DC. So I dont play old systems, but I sure play old games :)
I've got an Intellivsion in my back bedroom I play sometimes.
Due to lack of quality new games, I am always playing more older games than newer ones, and with my recent arcade machine fascination it'll only multiply.
SNES quite a bit. It has games my boys like best.
I'll bust out the SNES a couple times a month when I'm in the mood for some fun, straight forward 2-D platforming action.
I have all my systems hooked up in one form or another. I play more new games than old though.
My NES is hooked up to a 27" TV and me and my roommates still play it all the time. It gets the most use when we take it out on the front porch and play some games outside whilst we drink. Its great when you are playing Dr. Mario and someone walks by and says, "Holy ****, is that Dr. Mario?" just from the soundtrack.
Hooked up my PS a couple of months ago to try to finish the rpgs I have for the system. Still have about 15 RPGs to start and finish.
I recently picked up a NES and have bought several games for it. I have lost more hours than I care to admit reliving my youth :)
Still trying to finish Vagrant Story, FF IX, and one of those Chrono games on the PS1.
I used to play my Atari 2600 and 5200 quite alot, until they both broke. Now I'll occasionally play my Breakout game. Which, I got as a gift before the 2600. It was a console a little smaller then a keyboard with a knob on top and it connected through the RF coax. It only plays breakout and it still works.
I have my old systems, but I tend to be more inclined to play old games using an emulator (even though the majority of games I like to play, I own; and those I don't, I would if I could find them).

I'm about to hook up my Saturn and give Dragon Force another go... been over five years probably.
I do.
I am always looking for new games for my Playstation, my NES, & my Genesis. |
I love older systems and games. Currently hooked up: SNES, Sega Saturn, N64, PS1, PS2, Gamecube, Atari 2600. I have others, but most are in storage. I also have 5 gameboys, 1 Original, 1 Pocket, 1 Color, 1 Advance, and 1 SP.
