Where the hell is the next Grand Theft Auto?

come on guys. I have beaten GTA 3 and GTA:VC completely to 100% on both and i am just now starting to do it again. I need another one. They should make one during the Godfather period. Like Road to Perdition the game pretty much. Hell yeah. It would be great to have to rob banks and run Speak easy's during prohibition. The only thing that may suck is that you may have to crank a car before you make your get away.

It sounds like the game you want to play is Mafia.

that definitely sounds like Mafia. Which is a great game, btw. If you haven't played it yet, what are you waiting for. Awesome story too

Mafia will be out on the consoles later this year according to ebgames.com (for some reason I thought it already was.)

Yeah Mafia is a good game for the 'Godfather time period'. GTA games are more current crime then old Mafia business.

We had this same thread a few months ago... someone asked the same poll and wanted to play a prohibition era GTA game and everyone suggested mafia.

I would prefer either a Vegas setting during the 90's or a completely 70's blaxploitation/disco era setting. I definitely would not want a Fifth Element futuristic type of setting.

Word has it ( according to PSM a few issues back) that GTA4 is going to be available around the time the PS3 launches. But in the meantime there's supposed to be a 70's era GTA game, rumored to be titled "GTA San Andreas". But those are just rumors.

yeah people are saying that because Liberty City (the city in GTA 3) and Vice City were the first 2 cities in the original GTA, and San Andreas was the last one.

My best guess would be a 70's era Vegas-type city, and the title I've heard rumored is Sin City which would be cool.

You know, there is more to gaming then just GTA and all of its clones.

Variety. Try it sometime

Anyways,

I forgot which magazine stated that the next GTA would be in Vegas. Someone wrote in about the San Andreas being the third area but according to the magazine it is confirmed to be in Vegas.

Mafia rocks! Too bad for some reason GTA locks up in my computer, so I haven't played them.
