I went to a local BB (NH) this week to buy a game but couldn't find any more gift cards!

I don't understand what these are. Is there a thread out there with a better description?

Thanks,

Barry

OK can I do this with them cards. I walk into best buy go get a card put down $5 on it and then open it go back to video games pick up the game I wanted and use that $5 credit and the $5 off right then and there? I mean you can use them the same day you get them right? This looks like a great deal and I will get games from best buy form now on if you can do this all the time. Also can you use two $5 cards off at the same time? Also can you use them on games that are on sale for a week and stuff?

Thank you or reading and the help.

You can only use one $5 coupon at a time. You can use as many gift cards as you want. So, for instance, you could by 3 of the gamer gift cards, and put $5 (or whatever) on each. You could then grab a game you want, and pay with the 3 gift cards and 1 of the coupons saving the other 2 coupons for future use. They are good until the end of the year.

Am I missing something obvious? Except for tying up money (and maybe that's reason enough) why wouldn't you want to put $15 on the card since that's about the price the cheapest thing is going to work out to be anyway ($5 off $20) :hscratch:

Because when you load up on 10 of them that's $150 as opposed to $50 :D

It really makes no difference what you put on the card. Some people stock up on them to use them later, and as GatorDeb said, its cheaper at the time to put $5 on them which is the minimum allowed.

Yes, people should use the coupon all the time.

Yes, you can load up on coupons for later. (expires 12/31/03)

Yes, they are still available on the shelves.

Yes, the $5 coupon is good for video games, PC games, and any video game accessories...

(OK, here comes the tricky part: Depend on the stores and how their system is set up, some BBs will allow the $5 coupon for items that cost less than $19.99. One of the nearby stores took $5 off of some $2.99 GBA game cases so that it came out free! :D )

I got the Xbox Exhibition Disc #3 for free yesterday.

Also, you can usually put a penny or a dollar on the gift cards. I try to use up the gift cards as quickly as I can, so as to not tie up my money.

Thanks!
