Uh-oh, I like cutesy games (Xbox related)

I've had a blast on the Xbox over the past week I've had it. Halo is very cool (but I thought my PC "Giants: Citizen Kabuto" was just as impressive). I also love Kung Fu Chaos and Oddworld. And that might be my problem. I think I like little silly creatures more than military FPS games. I shied away from the Gamecube because I really am sick of the Mario franchise, but I'm wondering if there are a lot more little silly games on the 'cube compared to Xbox. Or does PS2 have more goofy stuff?

I don't regret buying the Xbox. I really like it a lot... I'm considering buying another platform with more titles like I mentioned though.

(BTW, I did read that Sonic was coming to Xbox down the road)

I wouldn't go out and buy another platform for that reason. Just be patient, Xbox is going to have a lot more releases like that over the next year. They had a lot of those cutesy types of games at E3. They really want to become the family console now.

Blinx is a bit on the "cutesy" side, and it can be found fairly cheap.

I'll check out Blinx. Guess I'll just wait for the future.... but still might plop down some Ebay bucks for Gamecube. A bit cheaper than X or PS2.

I'd say pick up a Gamecube. If you like these types of games, there is no reason to deny yourself from GC exclusives like the addictive Animal Crossing, Zelda Wind Waker, Super Monkey Ball, etc. Xbox doesn't have anything comparable to these games in its lineup. Plus the future will bring even more "goofy/silly" type games to GC like Wario World, Giftopia, Billy Hatcher, etc...

Just don't let your skirt fly up in your face while you are playing and you should be fine.

Yes, and let your husband play every now and then.

Actually - Xbox has plenty of these games... I'd say PS2 has the most though. As for Gamecube - I think it just seems like they have alot because that's their main thing. I think PS2 has more though. If you're sick of Mario, then don't bother.

For Xbox - try Fusion Frenzy, Mad Dash Racing, Dr. Muto, Blinx, Whacked, Kung Fu Chaos, Vexx, Crash Bandicoot, ToeJam and Earl, and Cel Damage. There's a bunch more coming soon - Stuff from Rare should be right up your alley.

I couldn't stand Blinx but I did like Ty for the XBOX. It can also be had for $15 or less.

All systems have their share of silly stuff, but you'll definitely find more on the PS2 and Gamecube.

PS2- Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Jak, Cookie's and Cream.

Gamecube- Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2, Zelda: The Wind Waker (Link's expressions are pretty silly at times, like when you try using your sword on a stone wall), Wario World, Animal Crossing, Ultimate Muscle, Super Smash Bros. Melee has characters from the entire nintendo univserse from Adult Link to Kirby. These kinds of games are what they do best, and they know it, so you'll find lots of these kinds of games on the Gamecube. These are all exclusives and they're all pretty highly rated. If you're worried about Mario, there's only a whopping 2 mario games (sunshine and party) out for the system , and miyamoto has stated they will be debuting new franchises this year to replace Mario.

Now if you want a really silly game, Giftpia is the game for you. The game is beyond words and one of my most anticipated for this year.

I forgot to mention Pikmin, Cubivore and the upcoming Viewtiful Joe for GC, are also part of the silly/weird/strange genre of gaming as well.

Wow. I didn't think it was possible, but I guess time will do that to you.

Alot of people on here would always label the GC as kiddy and make jokes about it. But when someone is asking for more kiddy non serious types of games people are actually suggesting Xbox. Crazy.

I have an X-box for the sports and FPS games, but I recently got a gamecube for the types of games you mention.

Super Monkey ball 2 is a great game. You may also like Animal Crossing if you like Sim games, but I didn't really care for it. Pikmin looks cool, Mario Sunshine is great, and I am sure there are many others but I have only had the system for 2 weeks or so.
