Help a n00b find a cool Xbox game!

I've only recently been playing games. I loved Splinter Cell. Halo was fun, but not enough "thinking" for me. The second time through The Matrix was fun. I can't wait for the new Madden game.

So, what are some recent really good games for the xbox? anything new designed just for the xbox?

It's not out yet, but if you are looking for a good "thinking" game you might want to consider Lucasart's upcoming Gladius. Turn-based tactical combat. There's a demo for it in the latest issue of "Official Xbox Magazine."

"n00b"s should visit www.gamerankings.com to see the rankings for the top 50, 100, whatever Xbox games.

You might want to check out Hitman 2. It's similar to Splinter Cell (in terms of stealth and figuring out how to get through the level/make the hit).

Brute Force just came out which is a great game. Part tactical part shooter. Should check it out.

not so new but still one of the best on the box is buffy the vampire slayer. Aren't you guys tired of hearing me say this over and over again?

If you want a "thinking man's" killing game, Hitman 2 is it, IMO. There are truly multiple ways to solve every level, and the story is a lot tighter than Splinter Cell's. I devoured it when I got it for PC.

Exactly what I would have said. Cheap thrills, yes, but actually a pretty fun game once you get past the T&A.

I'm assuming you've already played Halo.

Brute Force is a good multi-player game.

How about The Two Towers? Or Max Payne.

Give Jedi Outcast a try, very underrated Xbox Game.
