Gamestop B&M: All Used Merchendise Buy 2 Get 1 Free *Updated 6/7*
I was at a Gamestop yesterday and I noticed a small sign that read Buy 2 Get 1 Free. I asked the clerk for the details and the special applies to everything used: Systems, Games and accessories.
This one guy that was there purchased 2 used GBA's for $100 total and received on free. $33 per GBA isn't too shabby. There are plenty of ways to get the most out of this promotion but since it only applies to used items YMMV.
This applies to Houston, TX Gamestop's. Can anyone verify other locations?

Dead on the 3 systems allegedly, at least that is what the original poster over at Fatwallet is saying. I may go try in a minute

It's still on for games.
I just picked up Suikoden 3, Breath of Fire, and FF Anthology for $90 , and Klonoa 2, MGS Substance, and Diablo PS for $50. I used their discount card on top of that also...

Suikoden 3 is OOP, goes for $50 on eBay, Breath of Fire just came out, still $50 new, FF Anthology is $40-50...$140 worth of games for $90.
Klonoa 2 is OOP, $20-30 on eBay, MGS2:Substance X-Box, $25, Diablo PS, $25 on eBay. $70-80 worth of games for $50.
To me, it looks like you don't know a deal on good out of print games when you see it.

They are no longer letting you take a system as a free item. Something about an email they recieved from "corporate" or something.
Still... picked up ZOE, Shinobi and Xenosaga for $65.

one local told me they weren't doing this deal, another told me they were but only for games, and the third told me I could buy a ps2 and xbox to get a gba but I could not buy three gbas or three xboxs..... so I pass.

The clerk shouldn't have sold multiples of the same system, which is a terminable offense, every other trick is fair game though I guess. Also there is no specific time frame until this promotion ends, corporate will just cut it off when they have decided we have thinned out the used merchandise enough.

1. Why no signs? 2 of the stores in my area have no signs up advertising the promotion, but when I asked they said it was going on. If you're going to have a sale, why not advertise it?
2. Can you use the 10% used game discount on top of this from the card? 2 stores in my area did it. THe third store said I couldn't do the B2G1 free and 10% off, had to be one or the other. He gave me both when I told him the 2 other stores in the area did. Kind of hard to have restrictions on a deal when there's no signs up explaining the deal! (see post 1!

Bumping. There was a hand-markered sign at the Gamestop in Rockville, MD... picked up Burnout 2, Smuggler's Run 2, and Madden 2003 (all PS2) for ~$79 (~$71 with my Gamestop club discount).
Any word on when this promo will expire?

Actually, we've been doin that at our store... it's also a Big incentive to get Sub's and it's helped out in a big way. And our DM hasn't said anything about multiple discounts yet.

For some reason the other thread was locked..the original B2G1 free shown in this thread and expired some time ago. The promotion has started again and is good thruogh June 22nd. If the mods don't want a new thread about this, maybe they can change the subject to say this promotion is newly activated.
ALso note that a version of this promotion is available on the gamestop.com website through Monday. This was also not a part of the original promotion advertised in this thread.
