Steel Battalion 2 question.

Has anyone heard if the controller will be released again when the sequel comes out? Thanks in advance.

According to the Capcom site, the MSRP will be $50 and there is no mention of a pack with the controller, so you will most likely just have to buy the first one.

From what I understand, they will sell it with and without the controller. It is a Live enabled title. It will kick much arse. I played it some at E3 and was really pleased that Capcom ended up releasing another game to support the controller after all. It looks great - even better than the first.

Just thought of something. How will the headset plug into the old controller. I have the first game and am gonna be pissed if I have to buy another controller to play the sequel.

I hadn't thought of that - but I would assume that if you can use the headset that they will have a way for you to plug the headset into a regular controller plugged into another port and just use that. Good point though and I'm not entirely sure.

I talked to the Capcom rep about plugging in your headset. He told me that if you have the old Steel Batallion controller, you can plug in a regular controller on another port and use your headset that way. If you have the new SB controller (with SB2) there's a built in headset port in those.

Thanks for the info guys. Anyone plan on putting their current controller and game on ebay and get the new controller when it's available? I am thinking that I might now. Gotta be sure to pre-order that baby as soon as it becomes available.

I spoke with Capcom and they gave no information on a Steel Battalion Controller 2 that will be released with the second game.

Don't know if they're just being secretive until the game comes out. No reason to be secretive since the first is sold out though.

Where and when did you speak to the Capcom representative? I spoke with one during this years E3 and that's what he told me.

Called their cust serv number earlier today. The csr wouldn't even give a release date of the game.

I hope you're right though, I don't want to have to buy a used one or a new one from ebay. They'll hopefully re-release the first game that way I can get both.

Well, it would make sense for them to re-release the game with the stick since the original game was such a limited release. That and the game cannot be played without the custom joystick. It would be stupid for them to release just the 2nd game and limit the buyers even more.
