remember R-type?
looks like it's being remade. i used to love that game! it was one of the few games that i mastered - that is, beat it w/ 1 ship (i think it was on a sega genesis but i forget)

There was also R-type Delta and R-types on PSX - both of them were fantastic.

If you haven't played it already, I would also highly reccommend Einhander for a shooter. It isn't as difficult as some of the others like Ikaruga but it does get hard in some spots and has an incredible upbeat techno soundtrack, probably one of the best scores ever. |

Yes, but on Xevious 3D+G there was Xevious Arrangement.. which kicked ASS.

I play games entirely to relax and not to be challenged, so I don't really play shooters. It's kind of a shame, since I like the idea--they're just all too damn hard.

Has anyone seen this game in the stores yet? I think the relase date was supposed to be 2/3/04, but I can't find it. I'm actually looking forward to this one. The last time I played R-type was on a TurboGrafx-16. I loved it. From the reviews I've read, it doesn't sound like this one will disappoint. |
