Nintendo is planning on releasing a new lithium battery for the SP. Apparently you'll be able to get a 75% increase of play time out of this one. That'll make roughly 17.5 hours with the light on, and 31.5 hours with the light off.

There is also an Interact one that claims to have the same power as the original one. It comes with a screwdriver to replace it as well. It runs for about $20.

Same size battery as my Sony Clie NX60 I believe.

Not having any problems with the current battery, but its nice to have the option.
