I never knew that! I thought Golgo 13 was the only NES game where the character gets a little nookie. I was also obsessive about keeping the original box and instruction manual with my games. This seems to be a rarity, judging by the majority of eBay auctions and flea market sales. What are the odds of me finding a copy of Mega Man 2 with its original box? I have MM 1, 3, 4, 5 & 6, but for some reason never bought 2 (I think my best friend at the time had it and let me borrow it for extended periods). Was there a Mega Man 7 for NES? Or did that go to a different console (Super NES?). I have Mega Man 8 for PlayStation. |

I still have mine plus another one from a garage sale plus a couple of more power supplies.

I sold my NES in college because I thought having jumped into the PS and N64 arena, I'd be through with it. But then I started to miss it so I shelled out some money to get a top-loader on eBay. Plus you can get so many game lots for cheap on there, repackage the ones you don't want to keep, and put them back up for auction. :)

I've got a couple of NES's lying around somewhere, as well as an original Japanese Famicom. They don't see much use though, and when I want to get my retro gaming on it's usually through emulation.
I'd love to assemble a sort of collection of old systems that I've owned or previously owned: Odyssey (still have +20 games) Atari 2600 (still have +30 games) NES (still have +? games) Famicom (still have) Sega MasterSystem (never had, but was jealous of friend for having) TG-16 (still have) TurboDuo (still have, but on loan) TurboExpress (see above) Sega Genesis (sold off) SegaCD (sold off) Sega32X (sold off) SNES (sold off) 3DO (still have... ugh) Playstation (sold off, retained 35+ games) Sega Dreamcast (still have) N64 (sold off) Playstation 2 (sold off, retain games) Game Boy Game Boy Advance I'm just waiting for the next next-gen systems to come out so I can snatch up all the current games at great values. I'm currently so busy retro gaming that I wouldn't have the time to play the new games coming out even if I had the money to do so. And I still have some gaping holes like the Saturn that I need to try out sometime. Oh, and that NES game collection is quite impressive. Quite impressive indeed! |
I just bought an NES off of fleabay with 30 games for like 50 bucks. Im so excited - my older brother had one of these when I was a kid and he would never let me play. I hope the connector works well on it... Time for my N64 to gather some dust. :)

My old NES is set up at my father's house. He's been playing Tetris (only) on it for the past 15 years.
