Sega Saturn Trade in
I was cleaning out my basement and found a sega saturn, how much trade-in do you think I would get for it? It looks like it has all the pieces, but alas the games didnt make it through. Thanks
|
Gamestop will probably give you 75 cents store credit, and then charge you $2 for bothering them, therefore you'd end up paying $1.25 there.
You may be able to get $30 for it on eBay, that's going to be you're best bet. |
Yah, ebay it or sell it on a videogaming forum for under $50 (at best).
|
A saturn with no games...maybe $15-20 or so....No games to test it, and its not rare by any means.
|
Gamestop and EB will not accept it. They will not take SegaCD, Sega Saturn, Turbo Grafx, etc. At least, not the stores in my area, as I have asked the managers.
|
But why would you want to trade one of the greatest systems ever?!?!?!? And that is NOT sarcasm, BTW...
My advice would be to keep it and try and find some classic games for it. Jeremy |

Jeremy ok on a serious note you probably don't want any longer I would say selling it or trading it here in the forum or ebay(or half.com) would be the best bet. |
I agree with jrutz. It's an amazing system. I'm still playing it as much as I'm playing many of my new systems (PS2 and Xbox included).
If you can get your hands on some of the classic games, you're in for a good time. |
Nights, and if you can find it, Christmas Nights. The only reason we have our Saturn.
|
mmm nights

Don't forget Dragon Force! Too bad they only made 3 of them. (That's what it seems like at least.)

Seriously, there have been a TON of quality releases for the Saturn: NiGHTS Baku Baku Daytona USA Fighters MegaMix Virtua Fighter 2 Virtua On WipEout - bests the PSX version! Fighting Vipers - get the import for Pepsiman! Darkstalkers Saturn Bomberman Panzer Dragoon I, II and Saga Dragon Force Iron Storm Tempest 2000 - my favorite! Sonic Jam Shining Force III Sega Rally Enemy Zero Gungriffon Last Bronx Virtual Cop 2 Virtua Kids X-Men Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo Duke Nukem 3D Shining the Holy Ark - didn't like it as much as other people did And don't forget to pick up a Netlink if you can find one and play some great online games between friends. I forgot about Virtual On and Gun Griffon. Damn, I need to buy another Saturn. How rare is Virtual On? That came with the arcade stick didn't it?

Nobody has mentioned probably the single greatest shooter of all time?
RADIANT SILVERGUN I could list a TON of awesome Saturn import games.. man that was a beautiful system. |
Radiant Silvergun?
Oh yeah, the game that fetches over $150 on eBay. Never played it. |

Originally posted by Gideon68 Isn't there supposed to be a sequel for one of the current systems? (But still waaay better than 90% of the crap games today!) Coming to the USA for Gamecube soon! :D |
For the love of GOD. Guardian Heroes!! Awesome game. I still play it. 6 player action!
|
How was Burning Rangers?
|
If you don't have a bunch of games to sell with it, I say just keep it. It's not like $30 bucks is the largest amount of money, unless you really need it. Are you sure it still even works? You mentioned the games didn't "make it".
|
Are you fools forgetting one of the best games out their:
D&D it was neat since it was a direct Arcade port over and it contained both first and second parts to the game. Great stuff. :) Another classic is that it had a true switching option for X-men vs Street fighter. :) |
