Hehe, I'm not an Amp/Freq expert, but brutal was a piece o' cake. Insane is a bit tougher on the last couple levels.
It's great playing a game that actually has a score again. |
Ok, well I bit the bullet and bought Amplitude. I'm glad I did - the Slipknot song is the only one I really dislike.
It took me up to Brutal level 4 before I finally felt some challenge, and got a 1-bar on BT (funny, the same thing happened on Frequency). Now I think it's starting to get pretty difficult. One question - how is everyone keeping their multiplier up? I'm progressing along fine, until I have to make a 5-track leap from the last to the first. I miss the tunnel :( |
For better or worse, this game definately forces you to pre-plan the "route" you're going to take through the song. Powerups are in fixed locations, unlike the random powerups in Freq. You have to look ahead to make sure that you can get to the next track in time from your current spot if you're interested in keeping the multiplier up. I could beat many songs in Freq on the hardest level without losing the multiplier, while I don't come close on Amp.
