Animal Crossing - Help Needed for Old NES Games
 

I just bought Animal Crossing, and I got my letter from Nintendo with Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. Math. However, I can't play the games. I place the game on the floor, and bring up the start scene, but then the controller won't work. I can't start the game or play. Do I need a GameBoy advance connected to play, or can I just use a regular controller? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure your using the D-Pad, not the thumb stick and A and B Buttons. Just in case you've been trying to use the thumbstick

Thanks for the suggestion Tigger, but I tried pressing every button on the controller, and I get no response. I have tried different controllers and different controller ports. I am very frustrated. This is the only game I have had trouble with the controller.

The games should work with a regular GameCube controller or Wavebird and you can use either the D pad or analog stick. Never heard of this problem before.
