gba sp sound quality?
gba sp is the only gameboy i have owned, the sound is pretty bad when the volume is turned all the way up, i mean it has alot of static, is this normal or did i get a bad gba sp? since this is the only gameboy i have owned i cannot compare with the old gameboy, thanks for any replys

What game were you playing? It may just be me, but I think my SP sounds a lot better than my regular Advance. If you're not adverse to spending a little more money to get better sound, try getting the earphone adapter. When you plug in earphones, often GBA games play in stereo instead of mono (since both SP and Advance have only one speaker on the system itself) which makes a huge difference.

I posted in another thread that I was having the same problem. It's normal. Interestingly, some games don't have the background static. Advance Wars, for example. Might have something to do with how the games were programmed.

Let's not get picky folks. It's hard to expect 5.1 quality sound out of a speaker the size of a postage stamp....

get yourself the headphone adapter, and hope it up with the altec XA3021 speakers and u got yourself a nice little 2.1 setup.

The sounds coming from the sp, are just as good as the regular GBA. Remeber...The speaker is mono...and the headset is stereo.
