3/2 - 3/8: Buy 2 PS2 Greatest Hits games, Get 1 Free @ Target

The title pretty much explains it all. Quantities limited, and no rain checks. Here are the games on the cover of the ad:

Jak & Daxter
Gran Turismo 3
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2
Crazy Taxi
Maximo
Onimusha
Smuggler's Run
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Devil May Cry
Star Wars: Starfighter
Dark Cloud
Twisted Metal: Black
Red Faction
Metal Gear Solid 2
ATF Offroad Fury
NBA Street
Road Rage
Midnight Club
Max Payne
Tekken Tag Tournament
Virtua Fighter 4
Red Faction
Spy Hunter
Resident Evil: Veronica
Crash Bandicoot & The Wrath of Cortex (I think)

No deal for me.

A suggestion for anyone who's already have their game choices made up... better think of some alternative choices, because Target may not have what you want.

This afternoon, I went in wanting Jak and Daxter, Baulder's Gate: Dark Alliance, and Ace Combat 4. However, Target did not have a single copy of Baulder's Gate, and the last copy of Ace Combat 4 that I found was in original packaging, without the GH red label on the front. However, when I asked the CSR in the electronic department, he actually tried to tell me that the sale is only good for titles with GH in front of it. Despite my attempt to show him that a non-GH Maximo and GH Maximo have the exact UPC code, he still refused to budge. So I walked away.

I did, however, found Gungrave at the value section for $15, so at least it was not a completely wasted trip.

They have never done that (for me at least, and I've tried) in the past, but who knows?

I have only tried it once at BB, but I got to as high as the store manager. I was told that BB's policy only matches actual advertised price, and that they do not match "Buy x get 1 free" offers.

Great deal, I picked up Gran Turismo A-Spec, Ace Combat 4 and Metal Gear Solid 2 for just a shad over 40 dollars. What's even weirder is that I don't even own a PS2... yet. I might go back tomorrow to return Metal Gear Solid 2 and pick up Silent Hill 2 since Substance is just around the corner.

The original post doesn't list Ace Combat 4 or Silent Hill 2 which are also part of the deal. Gonne go at lunch to get in on this deal. I think Ace combat 4, Silent Hill 2, and Baldur's Gate are calling my name.

In this case, the price of all the games IS in the ad. "All Greatest Hits titles $19.99" seems pretty straightforward, so 2 @ $19.99 = $39.98 ($13.33 each) for any 3 PS2 games with the red GH banner. I intend to try it at Wal-mart and see what they say.

Hey, I took his word with a grain of salt too. In reality, it's really a crap shoot, and depends on whether the cashier is competent enough to make the changes, know the policy, have common sense, etc.

In the best scenario for us (the consumers), it's always best to find clueless cashiers that actually knows how to make price adjustments.

Just curious, why wouldn't you just go to Target and get the games? What's with the price-matching at BB? I guess if you have a giftcard or somthing it makes sense, but otherwise just go to the store where they have the games to begin with.

I got Ace Combat 4, Resident Evil:CVX, and Baldur's gate. Will trade with a buddy later who got Max Payne and Silent Hill 2.

A couple of other reasons besides giftcards.

1)The possibility of BB accepting their $5 coupons also.
2)Much better selection of games at BB or CC usually.

I went back to Target on Saturday to check on clearance games, but unfortunately someone had cleaned out everything that I saw on Sunday, when I didn't realize they were on clearance.

But, they apparently did re-stock on the PS2 GH games. So I was able to get Jak and Dexter, Ace Combat 4, and Bulder's Gate: Dark Alliance with the sale this time.
