My gripe with "Greatest Hit" titles

Now don't get me wrong, cheap games rule. But I hate how every company has to change the packages for their Greatest Hits lines. Wouldn't it just be cheaper for them to put a sticker on the box instead of designing a new cover? I'm always obsessed with getting games in their original packaging.

Bitch to Sony, the companies can't control that.

Did you know some games are actually changed from their original version? Bug fixes, new content? Don't be so quick to complain.

Well, I can't argue that those red PS2 boxes are butt-ugly. All I can say is be sure to grab a title that just became a GH. Usually, you'll be able to find original boxes at the reduced price for a while. But remember, sometimes the games get improved as a GH title (Crash Wrath of Cortex and Silent Hill 2 for example).

the original ps2 GHs had stickers . I got GT3 when it came out as a gh and i was disapointed with the red logo but when i opened it, i saw that it was just a sticker that i could peel off.

In the old days...

Well, I'm not that old, but I do remember early on in my music loving days when we used to by vinyl albums (and movies on laserdisc). That was when cover art really mattered--when you could actually see it. That was when making an album cover was an art. Now, they could put jtnguyen on the cover of each CD, movie, or game. It makes no difference to me. . . .

Personally I could care less about the packaging. As long as the game is inside the cover, i'm fine
