What is the best 2 player Adventure Game?

It is amazing to me that most console adventure games are for 1 player...what are some good ones that two can play at one time?

Halo is awesome in Co-op mode.

Goemon's Great Adventure for the N64 has a pretty cool 2-player mode. It also has a 4-player mode, but it's kinda hard to unlock and I'm not really sure if it would be worth it.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. And hopefully the upcoming D&D: Heroes.

Lastblade 02-12-03 07:20 AM

Top Hunter/Metal Slug series for the Neo Geo.... But I doubt you have the Neo :D

Gromit 02-12-03 07:34 AM

Another vote for Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.

Time Crisis or House of the Dead.

Trigger 02-12-03 12:54 PM

Gauntlet

Though I am not a FPS fan, my buddy loves them and we played half way through Halo together and I loved it. So Halo gets my vote.

MasterofDVD 02-12-03 03:11 PM

Another vote for HALO

My buddy was over the other day and we played for about 7 hours. Only stopping for dinner. Legendary is something else. We backed off from it after a few levels. Neither of us want hear attacks from a video game.

Then last night I started to teach my wife to play. She was actually pretty good once she got the controls down.

I also have no idea why developers don't create more games that have co-operative play. Some good ones that come to mind:

Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles (psx)
Contra (anything contra)
Halo (xbox)
Perfect Dark (n64)
Hunter: The Reckoning (xbox)
Double Dragon
Streets of Rage
U.N. Squadron (arcade)
X-Men 2: Clone Wars (sega genesis)

How about for PS2..any games for two?I got 2 boys who fight over the thing..becuase only one can play adventure game at a time heh.

Cardiff Giant11 02-12-03 06:37 PM

Timesplitters 2 has a co-op mode and is available for the ps2.

edstein 02-12-03 06:55 PM

My first thought was Streets of Rage. Also, look for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4 player.

tanman 02-12-03 08:29 PM

unfortunately they don't put this feature in enough. It seems like there are a lot less co-op games nowadays then back in the days.

LOTR would be killer in co-op. right now i can't think of any others but there are plenty out there that could benefit from this very cool feature.

Crazy Aoshi 02-13-03 10:49 AM

Guardian Hereos, the greatest game ever made.

stingo 02-13-03 11:10 AM

Though a bit cutesy for some, the Adventures of Cookie and Cream is a great co-op game for the PS2.

edytwinky 02-13-03 11:16 AM

Streets of Rage 1, 2, and 3

MrKen 02-13-03 10:45 PM

Yet another vote for Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance. Fantastic two player adventure. Can be had for under $15 used these days as well.

tofu 02-14-03 12:27 AM

house of the dead.

tanman 02-14-03 01:08 AM

there are a couple of good ones at the arcade.

The river rapids one where you paddle is pretty decent

Time Crisis 2 my girlfriend actually played this and was pretty good at it. You people have no idea how much of a miracle this is. I'm talking water into wine miracle.

X-Men - the old one where six people could play at the same time.

TMNT2 nes

Simpsons

I will throw another in for Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance.
My wife and I had a blast playing through.

Buckaroo Banzai 02-15-03 02:06 AM

Lufia, Lufia 2. These games were great for 2 players. All the RPG Elements and no one hogging the SNES.
