space station simulators?
 

Sorry for the bad timing. I meant to ask this a few weeks ago, but forgot.

I used to play a C64 game where you managed a space station. You scheduled launches, picked crews, and built various science stations for your space station.

You made money by launching satellites for other groups, and making science breakthroughs.

It was a very old game, as challenger was one of the ships you could pilot.

Is there a PC game similar to this? I'm am more interested in managing a station then a space similator.

One word -- Startopia. I've never played it myself but it sounds like what you're looking for. Check it out on IGN or something.

yeah, I have startopia.

Its an obscure british release.

Its fun to play through the tutorials, but by the time you get to the actual open ended game, You've done everything, and I just don't have the patience to play the necessary 12 hours to win a game.

I found the original, Project Space station. Is there anything more recent?
