PS2 Online Play
I had a few questions before I went out and bought the network adaptor.
I have a DSL line...will that work with the online play? I heard only cable will work.
How is the lag? Say if I was playing Madden 2003 online, is there any?
Does it cost anything extra?
Thanks!

I have dsl and it works fine, as far as lag it depends a lot on the connection of the 2 users remember if you host the game you are actually hosting the game. The problem with ISP's nowadays is that the upload speeds (needed for hosting games) is very slow because most people don't know that it is important.

I use it with my cable and it seems to work fine thus far. The lag does depend on both parties...and sometimes I just can't connect to certain people...but otherwise it seems to work fine.

I've had good experience with PS2 online. SOCOM is supposed to be broadband only, but 56k'ers found a way to get in and frequently screw up the games.
On Madden, I've played a few games with people on dialup and there wasn't any lag at all. I think Madden does a great job at taking advantage of online capabilities.
I want to play ATV Offroad Fury 2, but haven't been able to get a connection to anyone online yet.
THPS4 seems cool, although I've never played it online.
I'm waiting for Auto Modellista (sp?), personally.
EDIT: I am now able to race online in ATV Offroad Fury 2. It's pretty cool, but not much different from the single player version, except that your competition is unpredictable.
