Dark GBC games on the GBA? New frontlight helps?

I've heard some people say that some GBColor games look a little dark on their GBAs. Does anyone think the new SP will cure this? I think someone with an afterburner would be able to tell.

I'm thinking of picking up an SP and getting back into games, but three of my big reasons are GBC games (the Zelda games)

I'd like to know before I drop the coin.

Hell, even the GBA games look dark on the GBA, so it is no suprice that GBC games do. I have an afterburner (pic below) installed and with it my GBC games look just as good as the GBA games (though obviously with the old graphics...duh). That being the case, I am sure the GBA Sp will improve things for you. <img src=http://w3.gorge.net/kvrdave/GBA1.jpg>

For comparison, without the light it looks like

I don't care for the look. It's either stretched and pixelated or takes up 2/3 of the screen depending on what mode you're in and neither look very good IMO.

I'm hoping they will look better on the GBA player for the GameCube. Not sure how pixelated they will be on the TV though.
